12/15/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Trent worked out behind the plate and in the OF during his last workout with The Factory. He increased radar velocity and exit velocity to 74 MPH each, and hitting numbers spiked. Behind the plate, Trent sits in well and moves with good agility laterally. He tracks to his glove, keeps it in front when blocking, and throws with accuracy and carry with pop times as low as 2.29 seconds to 2nd base. In the OF, Trent has active feet, he takes good angles, and he moves with athleticism to the ball. He takes good routes, makes plays, and throws with carry and a quick release to his cut off man. Offensively, this RHH has a tall/open stance, he loads well, and shows fast bat speed. He makes hard/strong contact, he has pop in his bat, and he uses his lower body. Skills can improve with work on the following.

03/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Trent is a long, 2-way player who plays 1B and RHP. Defensively, Trent has playable hands and feet and he fields in good rhythm. He catches the ball routinely, his backhand works, and he delivers the ball with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Trent has a repeatable swing, a clean arm circle, and he finishes in a complete position. Offensively, Trent has a square set-up, a short stride, and a proper load. He has good balance, an aggressive swing, and he can spray the ball to all fields. Trent can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
