04/23/2023 - National Showcase - Washington, DC Trent is a 2025 RHH OF prospect with an athletic frame at 6'0" 165 pounds. In the OF, he shows off quick, active feet and agile range to the glove side and backhand. He gets in a low, athletic fielding position on ground balls and also does a great job of presenting his hands out in front on fly balls. He has a quick, clean exchange and features a loose arm action. He makes accurate throws with momentum through his targets and does a great job of following his throws. Has a strong acumen for the position. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, crouched position and has a short, on-time stride to the pitcher after getting a good load. He keeps his balance centered and shows off smooth rhythm with his actions. He does a great job of staying inside the baseball with explosive bat speed and works through the baseball with his lower half. His swing is on-plane and direct to the baseball and he swings with a lot of intent. He projects as a line drive hitter that makes hard, consistent contact and recorded a max exit velo of 88 MPH. Trent is an exciting prospect that should play at a high level at the next level!

Exclusive College Recruiting Program an intriguing prospect for the 2025 class who has shown an advanced hit tool with ability to impact the baseball to all fields with power playing to the pull side. It’s a very simple set up with a quiet load and a consistent ability to be on time and hit the baseball hard. The swing will continue to develop and add bat speed and impact as he grows and matures. Defensively, he is primary CF prospect, but has the ability to play all 3 spots. His arm profiles best as a CF or LF where the bat and potential will play. Physically, it’s a lean frame with room to continue to add strength and development as he goes forward to increase the overall athleticism which right now is average to above average, but as he matures he will develop all around physically, athletically and baseball wise. He will be a good prospect to follow over the next few years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
