04/14/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Louisville, KY Trent is a tall C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Behind the plate, Trent is efficient moving to block and keeps the ball in front of him. He presents a good target to the pitcher and tracks the ball into his glove. He throws from over top and works to make accurate throws to 2B. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact. On the mound, Trent gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 62mph. Slider sits from 54-58mph with 11-5 break. Knuckle curve sits from 51-59mph with solid movement. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
