09/15/2019 - College PREP - Moosic (Scranton), PA Trenton is a 2021 outfielder from Sykesville, PA who increased his exit velocity to 75 MPH and also showed a spike in hitting numbers during his last workout. In the OF, Trenton has active feet, he covers ground, and works behind fly balls well. He fields squarely, plays through, and has a long arm action to his cut off man. Continuing to add arm strength can help defense improve. Offensively, Trenton stands in athletically, he loads his hands well, and has good hand eye coordination. He swings in good rhythm, his barrel is direct, and he hits line drives. Offense can improve with added bat speed and letting the ball travel. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Trenton.

02/23/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18) Trenton is an athletic and talented 2021 prospect that was eager to learn and made several adjustments throughout the weekend. At the plate, Trenton starts in an open stance with high hands. He has good hand eye coordination and makes consistent hard contact. He needs to continue to clear his hips to the ball and create backside rotation with his lower half. Attacking the inside part of the ball and keeping his head down at contact can help him stay balanced throughout his swing. Trenton will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Trenton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has some pop in his bat and finds the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with a 2B. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to work to get rid of the baseball quicker and build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

08/05/2018 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Trenton is a young OF who will graduate in 2021. Defensively, Trenton has good pre-pitch actions, he fields aggressively, and he gives good effort to the ball. He has good range, a clean exchange, and he throws with a short arm action to his target. Added quickness, playing lower, and more arm strength can help OF skills improve. Offensively, Trenton has a tall/open stance, he loads well, and can spray to all fields. He has a short swing path and makes consistent contact. Added bat speed and more lower body will help hitting grades spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
