07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Tresten is a young player who displays good instincts and effort when he steps between the white lines. At the plate, Tresten displays good balance, has good bat speed and a level path to the ball. He has a tendency to pull the ball because his timing can be a little early, but he gets good extension with his arms. On the mound, he has solid mechanics: good balance, separation, arm action and lands in an athletic position. He has a live arm and good late movement on his fastball. Sometimes, due to his aggressiveness, he can fly open with his front side causing inaccuracy. He works best when he isn't trying to overthrow, but under control and pounding the strike zone. In the outfield, he gets good reads and makes plays both going back on balls and coming in on them. He is willing to lay out and sacrifice his body if necessary. He needs to work on staying deep with his routes and getting behind the ball to work through it. Getting his body (legs) more involved with his throws will help make sure his arm stays healthy. Overall, Tresten's athletic ability gives him lots of potential as long as he can limit mistakes from being overly aggressive.
