01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Trevelyan is a 5ft 10/ 180 catcher in the 2026 class. He recently competed well at the BF Preseason All American event. Behind the plate, his feet work well with his body and he centers himself to the baseball. Creates a strong target and his transfers are quick and clean. Gains a short high 3 qtr. slot and his feeds are on the bag at 2.15 pop. Working to replace his feet with his knees on his blocks will be a key point as he progresses his game. At the plate, he begins with an open stance and creates a compact swing. He stays inside the baseball well and generates extension. He consistently squares the ball up and has a line drive approach. Produced several quality at-bats in game action with 3 BB’s 1 2B and several loud outs. Overall, Trevelyan has a bright future in the game.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Seattle, WA Trevelyan is a 2026 C/3B prospect with a solid frame at 5'11" 155 pounds. Behind the plate, he shows off quick feet and agile range. He has firm hands and gives his pitchers an extended target with good pocket awareness. He has a quick exchange and release and makes strong accurate throws to his targets. Does a really nice job of getting a good downward angle on his chest on balls in the dirt and gets his glove down to prevent balls from skipping through. At third, his feet are active and he does a good job of covering ground to all sides. He gets in a squared fielding position and does a good job of presenting his hands out in front. His backhand is impressive. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws from different arm slots depending on the play. At the plate, he starts in a squared, crouched stance and gets a good load. His hips and lower half do a nice job of working through the baseball and he makes consistent, line-drive contact to all fields. He finishes his swing nicely and is capable of driving the ball. Trevelyan is an exciting prospect that will develop nicely over the next 3+ years of high school baseball!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Trevelyan is a talented C in the 2026 class. Behind the plate, he shows quick and active footwork. He replaces his feet well on his throw downs and has a quick transfer. He can get the ball in the air (2.3 pop) and is accurate to the bag. At the plate, he begins in an open stance and his hands are comfortable. He rotates his core well and shows line drive production to all fields. High contact rate in games and can put the ball in play. Working to get his lead foot down will help adjust his timing. Overall, Trevelyan has solid starting points for a promising high school career.

08/13/2022 - All-In Membership - Spokane, WA Trevelyan is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Trevelyan has quick feet, agile range, and he sticks the ball well. He has a soft chest to block, a good chest angle, and he throws with accuracy and a quick release to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.28 seconds to 2nd base. If Trevelyan can lower his set-up, and avoid stabbing, catching skills will get better. At 3rd base, Trevelyan has active feet, a low approach, and solid range. He has good pre-pitch actions, a quick exchange, and throws with direction across the diamond. Abilities at 3rd base can improve if Trevelyan can field further out in front and raise his arm slot. At the plate, Trevelyan has an open stance, he loads well, and he hits line drives. He rotates his hips through and shows the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Hitting can improve with a shorter swing path, more lower body, and with work on rhythm/timing.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
