06/23/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Trevor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show in the OF for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.97 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground and makes the routine plays. He shows good game awareness and does a nice job of backing up bases. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
