02/22/2014 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 12-14) Trevor does a very good job of keeping the swing basic. Trevor keeps the swing very quiet, and remains balanced throughout the whole swing. Trevor needs to focus on his stride and load, and his launch position, he tends to stride closed. This is going to close off his front side, and force him to get around a lot of baseballs, resulting in ground balls to the pull side.

12/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Befumo continues to work hard at his game. Behind the plate, he shows a quiet setup with good flexion. When throwing to 2B, he gains ground, works in-line and has a clean transfer. At 2B, Trevor works to get into a square fielding position. He fields the ball cleanly and makes accurate throws toward his target. At the plate, this righty remains compact and delivers the barrel on a level path. He shows some pull-side pop yet has the ability to use the whole field. Overall abilities will improve with work on the following.

11/14/2013 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Trevor has shown good improvement since his last workout. Defensively, he showed solid footwork, his hands are sure, and he is down and direct when blocking. He receives well but can work on his hands being a bit softer and having a smoother transition to throw. Trevor can also continue to focus on setting up earlier. Offensively, he flashes good pop for his size with quiet hands staying inside the ball well. He reaches a strong load and his path is short to the ball. Trevor will improve as he increases his top hand strength and starts his load a little bit earlier. Overall, Trevor continues to show progress to be a promising player at the next level

08/05/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Bear (Wilmington), DE Trevor is a C/2B that will graduate in 2019. Behind the dish, he has sure hands, sticks pitches, gains ground to throw accurately, and covers with glove while blocking. At second, he is agile, gets low to field, has sure hands and an accurate arm. Offensively, he has a compact swing, attacks the zone with the barrel and has a line-drive approach. Trevor is a young guy that should make himself into a good high school player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
