02/18/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Trevor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.09. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the MIF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

02/19/2018 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Trevor is an athletic built SS/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set. Offensively, Trevor has an open stance with a centered balance. He has a load with a long stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Trevor has an aggressive approach and uses his strength well in his swing. He has an on-plane swing path producing square contact. Trevor is a line drive type hitter who can drive the ball to each gap with power. In the field, Trevor plays with active footwork and takes effective angles to cover ground in each direction laterally. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a square position with firm hands. Trevor has a quick, clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a low 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the ball showing consistently online throws. On the mound, Trevor has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He repeats his motion and has a clean arm action. Trevor lands closed to home with a controlled landing. He commands the inner half of the plate with his fastball. Overall, Trevor is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get even better with development.

08/02/2017 - College PREP - Detroit, MI Trevor is a lean, athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he uses his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 68-69 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run but throws too hard to fastball velocities. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Trevor has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
