08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Trevor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he plays through with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, a good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. Fastball showed a range of 65-66 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
