01/19/2009 - College PREP - Loch Sheldrake, NY Trevor is a catcher with a small body that shows some strength in it. Foot speed is average and he utilizes his feet well in coming out low, maintaining solid body control. Transfer and exchange are efficient. He needs to work on his foot work, currently strides long and does not gain ground to his target. Arm strength is below average and needs to get on a strict long toss program to aid in building more arm strength and lowering pop times. Receiving and blocking skills are average. He presents a solid target out front and attempts to work his mitt out around the baseball. Stance is narrow and he learns to widen his base and utilize his body more, blocking skills will improve. At the plate, Kosturock has below average ability and power. He tracks the baseball well and makes consistent contact but does have some mechanical flaws hindering him from reaching his potential. Hitting grades and power numbers will improve quickly with instruction and adjustments at the plate. Trevor has some abilities with a lot of room to improve.
