08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Trevor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he has improved the most displaying outstanding hitting abilities with tremendous power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. When centered the baseball comes off his bat differently. At 1B, feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. He plays through balls aggressively but will benefit by presenting glove more out front. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/27/2015 - College PREP - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Trevor is a skilled L/L 2-way player (1B/LHP) who has a strong/projectable build (6'2"/190). Wit the bat, this LHH has a balanced setup with fluid rhythm. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as he remains compact. The ball jumps off of his barrel when centered as he drives it on a line. Even more power potential is there as he works to stride square (no close himself off) which will allow for more use of his lower 1/2. At 1B, Trevor shows active pre-pitch footwork moving well on the balls of his feet. He moves well laterally, is sure handed and can pick it. On the mound, this LHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from an over the top arm slot. FB ranges from 71-73 mph while showing slight run. He keeps his eyes on the target and repeats his delivery well. Breaking ball shows 1/7 shape while changeup has slight run. More glove side lead/tuck will help to stay directional and will improve effectiveness on all pitches. A 2018 grad - Trevor has upside with still a few years to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
