Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/CPosition Projection

09/06/2015 - Interactive Video Program - San Francisco, CA Trevor is an athletic 2-way player (RHP/C) who graduates in 2020. On the bump, this righty has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He works to a tall balance point and remains compact throughout his delivery, driving in-line toward the plate. FB ranges from 70-73 mph while showing some arm-side run. Curveball has 11/5 shape with good action, showing to be a solid out pitch. He keeps his changeup down in the zone which will result in a lot of GB outs. Behind the dish, Trevor sits in with athletic actions and sway. He tracks pitches into his mitt and sticks them, framing well. Transfer/exchange is clean with accurate throws to 2B (pop times of 2.22). Offensively, this righty has a square setup with good balance. He barrels the ball up consistently and drives it on a line. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Rhythm/Tempo
2. More lower 1/2 drive
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Catching
1. Footwork
2. Blocking technique
Offense
1. Timing
2. Extension through contact

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
