Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/OFPosition Projection

09/29/2021 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Trevor continues to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. On the mound, he shows a controlled, repeatable delivery allowing his quick arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 89-90 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and late break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through, creating momentum to his target. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

07/28/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 17U Trevor is a hard-working 2022 OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Southwest Championship. Trevor continues to show improvement in all of his measurables. He ran a camp best 6.60 60-yard dash. In the OF, starts on the balls of his feet with quick feet and works behind/through the baseball. Good 1st step reads enable him to take aggressive routes to the baseball and flip his hips and run down balls in all directions. He tracks the baseball well as he works behind/through the ball with a high 1-hand catch. Fields from an athletic fielding position, with soft hands, and has a short arm action. Throws are accurate, with good momentum to his target, and has good carry into the infield with an arm velocity up to 93mph. A right-handed pitcher, he shows electric stuff with a huge upside on the bump. Good presence on the mound and a good feel for pitching. He keeps his shoulders in line to target, with a controlled landing, and gets his chest over his front knee. Attacks hitters with a FB that sat 88-90mph with cutting action and a 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth and tight spin. Both his fastball and breaking ball project as swing and miss pitches. During the games, he punched out 9 batters and threw 70% of his pitches for strikes. A right-handed hitter begins with a wide base and an even stance with comfortable hands. A lower half driven swing that showed a fast bat and an exit velocity of 97mph. In live game action, he reached base 6 times with 5 singles and a reached on error. With another year of development, we foresee Trevor having opportunities to play at the next level.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Trevor is an OF/RHP prospect in the class of 2022. He is a very physical player with elite level athleticism. In the outfield, he does a great job showing off his 6.6 speed by being very aggressive to the baseball. He does a very good job creating momentum to throw and was up to 93 MPH on his throws into the infield. At the plate, he showed a very good lower along with a great approach. He consistently made hard contact with help from a direct swing path. In game action he got on base 5 times in 3 games. On the mound, he continued to impress. He pitched ahead with his fastball and was up to 86 MPH. Showed a good breaking ball with 11-5 shaped action. Trevor is a very good ballplayer with a bright future and we look forward to seeing him again soon in the future.

06/10/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Irvine (Los Angeles), CA Trevor is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF, Trevor moves light on his feet and takes good angles. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line through his target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing with explosive bat speed, leading to loud contact and great raw power (93mph exit velo). On the mound, Trevor gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Trevor operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 84mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 69-70mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 76-78mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Trevor is a talented prospect who has the skill set to excel at the next level.

12/09/2020 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Trevor is a skilled/athletic (6'0"/185) OF/RHP who is fun to watch. In the OF, he takes a quick first step moving lightly on the balls of his feet. He covers a ton of ground with speed, working behind and through the ball. Transfer is smooth as he gains ground and fires strong throws (91 mph). Runners won't want to test his cannon for an arm. As a hitter, this righty displays a balanced stance with fluid rhythm to load. He tracks pitches into the zone and off of the barrel, whipping the bat through with a ton of speed and connecting with power. He hits the ball where it's pitched and sprays it to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 94 mph). On the mound, this RHP has the ability to pound the zone with strikes and challenge hitters with an effective 3-pitch mix. He works tall, has smooth separation and drives downhill/in-line toward his target. FB cracks the mitt at 84 mph as he can hit his spots. Curveball shows to be his best pitch with 11/5 shape and sharp/late break and tight spin. Changeup compliments his FB well as he throws it with FB arm speed, showing good arm-side run. Steele is a versatile athlete who will make things happen wherever he is put on the diamond. This 2022 grad is one to keep an eye.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
