10/18/2017 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Trevor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved, now showing as outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the baseball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 5 for 10 with a 2B. At 2B, he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in his lateral movements, displaying range in the MIF and attacks balls playing through well while presenting hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Throws are accurate with on line carry as he works to get rid of the baseball quickly. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/21/2017 - College PREP - Omaha, NE Trevor is a lean, athletic SS/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best displaying well above average hitting / power potential. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he uses his lower half well, displaying gap to gap pop. At SS, he displays quick, athletic actions. He uses feet well in his lateral movements as he covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Arm strength is well above average (84 mph velocity) with throws displaying life, accuracy, and on line carry across the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. With 2 years to further develop, Trevor has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball tools.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
