01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Trey continues to improve and refine his tools as a prospect in the '23 class. He is an offensive stand-out with an above average swing and ability to hit for power. His short, simple swing will translate at the next level. The ball carries off of his bat, the on-plane bat path, and above average bat speed attribute to that. At 93 mph exit velocity he has a lot of projectability to hit for power. Trey is a well-rounded prospect as he also shows tools on the field and with his arm strength. He smooth soft hands, athletic actions, and plus arm in the infield make him a sought after shortstop prospect for the collegiate level.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Trey is a SS prospect in the class of 2023. In the field, he shows soft hands and the ability to work downhill. Showed off quick feet and a strong arm up to 85 MPH. At the plate, he showed a comfortable stance. Did a good job driving the baseball to all parts. Exit velos up to 86 MPH. Trey is a talented player with a bright future.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Trey is a solid, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (88 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Trey has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
