11/02/2013 - 2013 Under Armour Futures Series Texas Trey is a 2016 RHP with an excellent frame (6'4", 188). He gets outstanding downhill plane on his 88-91 mph fastball that gets on hitters quickly. His high release point is difficult on hitters and helps to make his breaking ball a hard downer that elicits lots of swing and misses. He also has a good feel for his change that comes in an effective velocity that is in between his FB and CB. Trey has serious upside on the mound as a tall, athletic RHP with a live arm. He will be followed closely over the next few years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
