Official Scouting Report

  • 4Class Rating
  • 1B/RHPPosition Projection

06/07/2023 - National Showcase - Houston, TX Trey is a 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B, he starts with active/efficient feet and takes aggressive angles to baseball. Creates good angles glove side, with good glove actions, and fields from a square fielding position. Made accurate throws to second base, with ability to spin glove side, and had an arm velocity up to 87mph. Presents a big target at first base with good footwork around bag. On the mound, he has a projectible frame with long levers. He works with good tempo and throws with intent. Throws a FB that sits 77-80mph with good movement, a 9/3 shaped slider with tight spin through the strike zone, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. SL was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from a tall and open stance. Smooth timing to swing with good hand separation and swings with intent. Shows a fast barrel through the hitting zone and hits the outer half pitch well. During his round of BP, Trey hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 93mph. With another year of development, we foresee Trey having opportunities to play at the next level.

01/22/2023 - National Showcase - Dallas, TX Trey is a 1B/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 1B, he starts with efficient feet and a good prep step. Takes aggressive angles to baseball, with ability to pick out hops, and fields from a square fielding position with hands out front. A loose arm stroke in back, with ability to throw from multiple release points, and an arm velocity on his throws to second base up to 81mph. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectible frame. Works with good tempo and keeps his eyes on target throughout delivery. Throws a FB that sits 75-77mph with some movement, an 11/5 shaped curve ball that has good depth, and a changeup with good depth in zone that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an athletic and open stance. He gets his hands separated, with intent in swing, and transfers his weight well. A direct barrel path enables him to make consistent contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee Trey making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

01/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Trey is a talented/projectable athlete who can make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced stance with good separation on his load. He swings with intent, engaging his lower 1/2 and connecting with pop. He connects and creates extension through his finish, driving the ball to all parts of the field. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and tracks down fly-balls with speed. He gets good reads off of the bat, works behind and through the ball with accuracy on his throws. At 3B, he shows active prep and works lightly on the balls of his feet. He works right to left on his approach to the GB, fielding the ball with soft hands and gathering smoothly. Myers also has the ability to get on the mound and pound the zone with a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) from a 3/4 arm slot. He has smooth separation, stays directional and repeats well. FB ranges from 70-71 mph. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape - 60-61 mph. Myers is a skilled 2024 prospect who has a ton of upside and is one to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
