07/29/2015 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Trey had a solid showing at the event in the OF with the makings of a special type player at the next level. At the plate is where he showed best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. The baseball explodes off the bat when centered. In the OF, he displays proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind in playing through with momentum to his target. Arm strength is outstanding as indicated by his top velocity of 89 mph at arm strength station with throws displaying life, accuracy, and on line carry. Ramos has a lot of potential and is a gamer that works hard.

03/15/2015 - College PREP - Waco, TX Trey is a 6'/165 lbs OF that showed exceptional defensive ability at his first outing with Baseball Factory. In the OF, he worked efficient angles to make plays with a sure glove out in front of his body. He worked through the baseball to gain momentum and throw with present arm strength - 89 MPH on the gun. Offensively, he worked from the ground up with good balance and got his body into a good hitting position with activated hands. He worked with a contact approach to all fields and was coordinated with his hands and hips. In all - Trey is an intriguing player that has a strong frame with good athleticism (7.05 sixty) and strong measureables.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
