01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament This athletic MIF continues to shine on the diamond. With the bat, Tripp steps into the box looking to swing it. He remains balanced with a simple/quiet setup and smooth rhythm to load. Hands are quick to and through the zone as he squares the ball up consistently with hard contact (exit velocity = 82 mph). At SS, he shows quick footwork with + lateral range to his GS & BH. He funnels smoothly and has a quick release with the ability to fire strong/accurate throws from deep in the hole. Beasley is a solid SS prospect who is one to keep an eye on.

01/03/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Milton, NY Tripp continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 4 years to further develop, Tripp has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Tripp is a hard working and talented 2-way prospect that was eager to learn. At SS, Tripp is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and has a good first step to the ball. He has good range and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Tripp starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back, and keeps the barrel on plane. He’s aggressive on the fastball and looks to use the middle part of the field. On the bump, Tripp gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and accelerates his lower half down hill. He mixes his pitches and has a clean delivery. Tripp will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/08/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Nyack (NYC), NY Tripp showed nice all around improvements in his game and spike arm velocity to 70 MPH and exit velocity to 77 MPH. At SS, Tripp has quick/fluid footwork, soft/presentable hands, and he fields athletically. He takes good angles, makes plays consistently, and throws with carry from a loose arm action to his target. At the plate, Tripp has an athletic stance, he loads well, and he swings aggressively. He has explosive bat speed, solid power, and he uses his lower body. Tripp is a nice all around ball player.

11/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Tripp is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Tripp shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, leading to solid carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and hits from a strong front stride. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed which leads to loud contact and line drives. On the mound, Tripp keeps his eyes on target as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate. Tripp shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 61mph. Breaking ball sits from 53-55mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 55-57mph with cutting action. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Fielding
1. Angles
2. Stay low
Hitting
1. Bat speed
2. Balance
Pitching
1. Extend release
2. Square finish

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
