08/23/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Portland, OR Tristan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 64 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with early break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Tristian continues to shine on the diamond. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he gets stride foot down sooner to work on time. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with a BB. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 57-58 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with loose spin and gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/24/2020 - All-In Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Tristan is a RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. On the mound, Tristan's fastball tops out at 58mph as he works to keep it around the zone. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Tristan improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and works to barrel up the baseball, producing solid contact. Tristan can improve as a hitter by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. With five more years to develop, Tristan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

05/27/2018 - National Tryout - Keizer (Salem), OR Tristan is a hardworking right-handed pitching prospect who graduates in 2025. On the mound, Tristan pitches from the stretch and keeps his eyes direct on his target. He has an on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. He effectively uses his front side and lands closed to home plate. Tristan does a nice job pivoting off his back foot and can benefit from a longer stride. He commands his fastball with tail movement. Tristan also locates his medium breaking curveball and developing changeup. Offensively, Tristan has a tall setup with a firm front side. He has a long, open stride as his lower half is anchored during his swing. Tristan has a direct, on-plane swing path. He shows the ability to go with the ball to the opposite field. Tristan gives a tough AB and looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Tristan is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get better with development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
