07/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Cleveland All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Tristan continues to improvements on the diamond and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate to his target. At the plate, power potential has improved through a tall, squared setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 78 mph. Fastball showed a range of 75-78 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual shape. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but will benefit by developing more movement. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Tristan is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way prospect. At SS, Tristan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low early glove, and has good footwork on his backhands. He creates momentum in his lower half and follows through on his throws. He needs to funnel the ball and have a clean exchange. At the plate, Tristan starts in an open stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays balanced through contact. He creates backside rotation with his lower half and hits the ball gap to gap. He needs to continue to minimize his leg kick and attack the inside part of the ball. On the bump, Tristan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He drives his back leg toward the plate but needs to continue to work north to south in his delivery. He cuts his fastball and has good depth on his breaking ball. Tristan has a high baseball IQ up the middle and works hard to make adjustments at the plate. Tristan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Avon (Cleveland), OH Tristan is a young, solid, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. In the INF, Tristan has quick feet, good pre-pitch actions, and he shows solid range to the ball. He plays through, his exchange is clean, and throws with momentum and consistency to his target. In the OF, Tristan fields aggressively, his footwork is efficient, and he catches the ball at its highest point. Offensively, Tristan has a square set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He flashes some bat speed and uses his lower body. Tristan can improve overall skills with work on the following.

2. Hands
3. DP's
Outfield

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
