07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS) Tristan continues to impress with his baseball abilities. At 3B, Feet are active as he works to square balls but needs to play through with his body more consistently. Glove action is soft and works well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, hands work well inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He has strength in his swing, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he transfers weight from backside into a firm front. On the mound, he showed a 3 pitch mix that keeps hitters guessing. Breaking ball is a quality pitch that displays 11/5 shape with sudden break. He shows a feel for changeup with sinking action. Further development of arm strength will aid in improving stock on mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/16/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Sioux Falls, SD Tristan is a Class of 2027 RHP/3B. This versatile player stands out with his impressive skills both on the mound and in the field. As a right-handed pitcher, he delivers a fastball that reaches up to 77 mph and mixes in a curveball with medium break, a slider with slurve action, and a reliable changeup that he commands for strikes. At third base, his game is marked by precise pre-pitch actions, nimble feet, and accurate throws, making him a defensive asset. At the plate, he demonstrates a strong load and effective use of his hips to generate powerful line drives. His all-around capabilities make him a valuable player and a standout prospect for the future.

06/17/2024 - College World Series Experience - Session 1 Tristian continues to impress with improvements in his baseball abilities on the diamond. Foot speed his improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line carry (88 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball shows a range of 80-81 mph with arm side run and sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and develops off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Tristan is a 2027 3B/RHP prospect with a tall, lanky frame at 5'11" 145 pounds. In the field, he does a great job of being in a relaxed position pre-pitch. He works hard to get a good first step and center the baseball. He presents firm hands out in front when fielding and he makes all the routine plays. He has a clean exchange and he shows off impressive arm strength in the field with good backspin on his throws to his targets. At the plate, he starts in a squared, tall stance with comfortable hands. He has a soft stride and he shows a lot of controlled movements in the box. He has a firm frontside with his lower half and a level, on-plane swing path to the baseball. He does a great job of rotating his core through contact. He worked hard to stay competitive in the box in game action. On the mound, he has a ton of confidence and a good presence and his size plays a role in his success. He does well to gather his balance over the rubber and he has a relaxed knee lift. He gets on-time separation and he stays in-line to his target when driving to the plate. He shows the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate with his FB/CB mix. He allowed 2 hits in 3 innings of game action. With continued development, Tristan is poised to make some noise on the baseball diamond in the future!

01/12/2024 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Sarasota Tristan is a 2027 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the BF Spring Training in Sarasota. At 3B he starts with a good prep step and works to center the baseball. Works from right to left and has a clean exchange. Shows good carry on his throws to first base from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 79mph. On the mound he gathers over the rubber and rides his back leg down the slope of the mound. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 73mph, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with downward movement. He has a lean frame with room to add strength and shows ability to field his position. At the plate he hits from a tall and even stance. He hits into a firm front side and squares up balls to all fields. Tristan has a live arm and worked hard all week. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

11/09/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in California (Ages 14-18) Tristan is a 2027 3B/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Select Training and Competition. At 3B he starts in a relaxed position and shows athletic actions. Showed good agility at baseball and has efficient footwork. He made accurate throws to first base, with ability to throw from multiple arm slots, and an arm velocity up to 82mph. On the mound he works exclusively from the stretch. He gathers over the rubber and gets to a good balance position. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 68mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. In 2 innings of work, he struck out 2 batters and induced soft contact. At the plate he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He separates his hands and keeps his weight between his knees. Shows some pull side power. In live game action he reached base 3 times with 3 singles. Tristan showed athletic actions and ability to make adjustments. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

10/11/2023 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic (2027) Tristan is a tall (5ft 11/133) and athletic 3B/RHP in the 2027 class. In the field, he shows a strong arm from a long and loose 3 qtr. slot. Plays with energy and has a feel for the position. On the mound, he works with great tempo and is confident in his ability. Projects as a command type pitcher with a high ceiling. Operates with a 2-pitch mix from a high 3qtr. slot. FB sat 68-72 and was in the zone. His CB ranged 65-6 with 11-5 shape. Showed great bounce back ability to two appearances and his second outing was spectacular (7 for 13 pitches for strikes). At the plate, he begins in an open stance and works to get his barrel on plane. Rotes his body well to the baseball and creates a line drive approach. Overall, Tristan future maybe on the mound. Meanwhile scouts like his make up and feel with more reps and added strength, he can continue as a two-way player.

07/18/2023 - National Showcase - Sioux Falls, SD Tristan is a lean is an athletic RHP/3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-65 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Tristan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
