Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

09/22/2019 - College PREP - Lynnwood (Seattle), WA Tristan is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Tristan makes the routine plays and flashes a clean exchange. He throws from a 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Tristan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and gets into his load well. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays to all fields. Tristan can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. On the mound, Tristan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 57mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 45-47mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 44-48mph. loosening his arm action can help Tristan improve as a pitcher. Overall, Tristan is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
