07/17/2022 - Baseball Factory Los Angeles All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Tristan continues to show improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive swing path. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Indianapolis, IN Tristan is a LHP/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. On the mound, Tristan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Tristan operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 68mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 56-62mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 61-63mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Driving his lower half more can help Tristan improve his pitch velocity. In the field, Tristan shows active footwork and covers ground well. He makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange, working to keep his throws accurate to his target. Tristan can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He gets into his load and engages his lower half well, driving the ball to his pull side. Taking a square stride toward the pitcher can help Tristan barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Tristan is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Baseball Factory Denver All-Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Tristan is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with room to add strength. Square fielding position and fields ground ball off of his right foot with a clean gather. 2-hand transfer into a 3/4 release point with throws into the infield at 69mph. A left-handed hitter, hits from an athletic and square stance. Small hand load, with good separation, and rotates hips as he gets his hips thru the swing. Left-handed hitter that starts from a tall and square stance. Level barrel plane through the zone with a line drive swing. Has an all field approach with developing barrel control through the zone. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
