07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Tristen is a young player who is always working hard and looking to improve. In the infield, he squares the ball up and fields it in front of his body. He has sure hands and a loose arm action with consistent throws. He has active footwork but he can really improve by going to get the baseball instead of sitting back and waiting for it. Also, by getting more on top of throws he will have better carry. In the outfield, Tristen has very good range and reads the ball well off the bat. He tracks the ball well in the air and has soft hands while catching. Again, getting on top of his throws will create more life and carry, as well as keeping his throws from the outfield straighter. At the plate, he has an athletic setup and good balance which is complemented by his good zone recognition. His path is level through the zone and he has a good line drive approach. He can work on getting his lower half more involved with the swing, and keeping his hands inside the baseball by not letting them get out away from his body, early in the swing. Overall, Tristen leads by example with the way he hustles and plays the game hard.
