10/27/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Joplin, MO Tristin showed a spike in radar velocity to 68 MPH, exit velocity to 63 MPH, and he ran his best 60 to date at 8.18 seconds during his last workout with The Factory. At SS, Tristin has athletic actions, a presentable glove, and active footwork. He makes plays consistently, plays through the baseball, and delivers the ball with carry across to 1st base. In the OF, Tristin has active feet, agile movements, and a low fielding position. He makes plays consistently, plays through, and has a strong/loose arm. Offensively, Tristin has a tall/square stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has good hand separation, and he uses his lower body. Tristin is a nice 2-way player who will continue to get better.

08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Tristin is a coachable SS/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Pro Select Training at Pirate City. In the field, Tristin takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and throws with a loose arm, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Tristin improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a square stride. He takes a level swing and rotates his core well, leading to solid contact. Tristin can improve as a hitter by getting his stride foot down sooner. With six more years to develop, Tristin has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

03/24/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Oklahoma City, OK Tristin is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. In the INF, Tristin has active/fluid feet, soft/presentable hands, and he fields low and athletically. He creates a good fielding angle, his exchange is quick and clean, and he throws with accuracy and carry from a short arm action to his target. In the OF, Tristin has active feet, athletic actions, and he catches the ball at its highest point. He picks out the right hops, makes plays consistently, and throws with some accuracy to his cut off man. At the plate, Tristin has a square/athletic set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He has fast bat speed, a direct swing path, and he makes hard contact; making good use of his lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

1. Use 2 hands
2. Play more through
3. Fielding position
1. Pre-pitch actions
2. Release
3. Exchange
1. Load
2. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
