In the field, Tristin shows efficient footwork with a quick first step. He makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with his hands held high. He remains centered in his lower half and hits against a strong front side. He displays plus barrel control and sprays the ball to all fields. Overall, Tristin is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/17/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (MS) Tristin is a SS prospect who showcased his skills during the World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Tristin shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Tristin field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid to load and generates fast bat speed, producing strong line drives. Tristin can create more consistent contact by working through a shorter swing path. With four more years to develop, Tristin has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (MS - East) Tristin is an energetic and athletic SS that will graduate in 2025. At SS, Tristin shows athletic prep work and shows a great 1st step to the ball. He fields the ball athletically and out in front making quick and clean exchanges. He keeps his momentum to the target getting rid of the ball with a short arm action. The throw is delivered to the target with accuracy and life. Hitting, Tristin starts with a tall stance and loose hands. His rhythm and timing are consistent with a controlled stride. He rotates his core well and works hard to get on plane to make consistent contact to all fields. Tristin shows great foundations as a young SS and will continue to grow and develop. We look forward to seeing his progress.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Tristin is a young (2025 grad) who excels with the bat. Offensively, this righty shows an athletic stance with rhythm to load. He jumps on pitches he likes, swinging on a short/direct path as he connects and hits line-drives to the opposite field. More power is in the tank with more lower 1/2 drive. In the OF, he hustles to his right and left working into position behind the ball. He secures the ball and works in-line toward his target. Gaining more ground and getting on a long toss program will both help to get more into his throws. On the mound, this RHP works to a controlled balance point and has smooth separation. Arm works loose & free as he fires from a low 3/4 arm slot. FB shows some movement - 67-70 mph. Only a 2025 grad - Trevathan still has a ton of time to develop his skills to get to where he wants to be.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Tristin continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/16/2020 - National Tryout Plus - Highland Park (DFW), TX Tristin showed well at both positions during his last workout with The Factory. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
