07/29/2017 - Under Armour All-America Game, Powered by Baseball Factory Triston returns to Wrigley Field as an Under Armour All-American for the second straight year. He once again brings what may be the best hit and power combination in the country back to Chicago. The 6 foot 4 Casas has a mature, advanced approach at the plate with a sweet left-handed swing that generates big power to all fields. He has great feel for the barrel and is unfazed by velocity or off-speed stuff. He truly is a complete hitter. Add in that he can play either corner IF spot, jump into a corner OF spot as needed and even throw strikes in the low 90s off the mound, and you have a special player. He is committed to the University of Miami.

06/14/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Casas is a LHH corner infielder who can change the game with one swing. He stands in with a solid base and centered balance. Rhythm is fluid as he gets good hand separation on his load. He whips the barrel quickly and connects with pop - driving the ball to the deep parts of the park. At 1B, he puts his athleticism on display. He moves well around the bag and adjust his footwork quickly with soft/sure hands and the ability to pick it consistently. A 6'4"/235 1B who can swing it - this 2019 grad with garner a ton of attention from top programs and scouts across the country.

09/19/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East If you didn't know he was 2019 graduate, you'd never be able to tell from looking at him. He stands 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds with large features, and moves with coordination and fluidity. He combines hitting ability and raw power as well as any current high school hitter, regardless of their graduation class he is that gifted. In BP he was one of just a couple of hitters to drive a ball out of a big ballpark, and he took that same aggressive approach to his game at bats in advantage counts. He made obvious adjustments with two strikes, a sign of maturity beyond his years as a hitter for sure. Defensively, he worked out at third and showed good hands to play the ball along with the ability to maintain body control as he moved left and right. He spun his throws across the infield well, despite not having thrown in a while. He is reportedly better on the other side of the infield at first base, but clearly has the ability to more than hold his own at third base. Overall, he is a truly special talent with tools fitting of among the best in the 2019 class.

05/23/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Memorial Day Classic 16U Participant Projectable young right hander with good mound presence. FB 80-83 with good down angle, located it well to both sides of the plate. Good use of lower half, stayed closed and maintained good direction. CB 70-72 with 11-5 shape and good depth, was thrown with FB arm speed. Located breaking ball as well, and mixed in a handful of CH in low 70s. Potential two-way guy, can handle the bat. Balanced approach, showed ability to keep hands back on off speed stuff, and got the bat thru the zone with life.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
