08/24/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Redmond, WA Tyston is an athletic 2B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.15 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Tryston has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
