11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Tucker is a lean, athletic two-way player who is a great team player and works hard to improve. He shows impressive control on the mound, working his pitches to both sides of the plate effectively. He features a low 70's fastball with sink and a 10-4 curveball with depth as he is aggressive in the zone and can put hitters away by dotting the corners. He has a loose, clean arm stroke to get good action on his pitches and shows smooth rhythm in his delivery to get to a consistent release point. At short, his feet work efficiently as he shows extended range to gain on the ball and cover the position. His hands are clean to field and quick to exchange as he makes accurate throws and feeds. At the dish, he displays simple mechanics with strong hand position and a direct path to the ball. He is balanced throughout this swing and makes consistent, line drive contact to all fields. Working on extension through the ball will turn some base hits into extra base hits moving forward. Tucker is an intriguing prospect we look forward to watching as he develops.
