03/24/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Oklahoma City, OK Tucker continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.16. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Working to get stride foot down sooner will aid in being on time and improving hitting abilities. On the bump, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose / clean to the plate. He works through a quick tempo and shows a 3 pitch mix and throws strikes with all his pitches. Fastball showed a range of 75-77 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Building more arm strength through a long toss program will aid in improving stock on the mound.

12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Tucker is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Under Armour Recruiting Classic. In the field, Tucker takes a good first step and displays quick footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with good carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a controlled stride. He is fluid getting into a simple load and hits from a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball and produces solid gap to gap pop. On the mound, Tucker starts with a small rock step and keeps his pitches around the zone. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 64-65mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 61-66mph with arm side run. Overall, Tucker is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/23/2018 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Tucker is a lean, lanky SS/RHP who has a very bright future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.37. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / clean but needs to present earlier. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, power potential is solid through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He has strength in his swing and makes consistent hard contact with gap-to-gap pop. With 3 years to further develop, Tucker has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
