07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Ty is a coachable OF/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Ty shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields with a relaxed glove. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Ty build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and tracks the ball well. He swings with intent and drives the ball to his pull side. Ty can create more consistent contact by working through a shorter, more level swing path. With four more years to develop, Ty has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/24/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Newnan (Atlanta), GA Ty continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as well. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Ty continues to shine on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate is where he continues to show best through a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/17/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Montgomery, AL Ty is a 1B/OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Ty shows active footwork and covers ground well. He makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays to all fields. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Lower fielding position
2. Present hands to the ball
3. Quicker exchange
Hitting
1. Shorter stride
2. Smoother load
3. Level swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
