10/04/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Grapevine (DFW), TX Ty is a LHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Ty shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 60-62mph with sharp 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 65-66mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Ty be more controlled through his delivery. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, producing loud contact and gap to gap pop. Ty can barrel up more baseballs by taking a more level swing path. Overall, Ty is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
