04/07/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Sanford (Orlando), FL Tyler worked out at 2nd base and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. At 2nd base, Tyler makes plays consistently through playable hands and footwork. He has a presentable glove, a good backhand, and he throws with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Tyler has a loose arm circle, he keeps his eyes on target, and stays balanced throughout his delivery. He pitches in good rhythm, has a controlled landing toward home plate, and finishes in a complete position. At the plate, Tyler has a square set-up, he loads well, and tracks the ball to the barrel. He hits well to the pull side and uses his lower body. Tyler can continue to improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Play lower
2. Follow throws
Pitching
1. Lower body
2. Glove side lead
3. Off-speed
Offense
1. Level swing
2. Bat speed
3. Barrel accuracy

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Tyler is a lean 2B/RHP who will graduate in 2024. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 47-49 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with early break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 7 years to further develop, Tyler has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
