08/18/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - St. Augustine , FL Tyler is a tall SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Tyler shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Tyler gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a free arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Tyler shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph. Breaking ball sits from 64-69mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 73-74mph. Overall, Tyler is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

04/07/2019 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He shows off his athletic abilities on the slow roller play, displaying great body control. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the bump, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose / clean to the plate. He works through a quick tempo and shows a 3 pitch mix and throws strikes with all his pitches. Fastball showed a range of 76-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break, sitting at 66-67 mph. Slider is sharp, with depth and tight spin. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/04/2018 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Tyler is a tall and lean 2020 2-way prospect. At SS, Tyler creates angles and fields the ball in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Tyler starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays balanced through contact. He has a flat bat to the ball and hits the ball to all fields. On the bump, Tyler gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He works down hill and has good tempo in his delivery. His slider has good depth and his curveball has a medium break. Tyler will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Tyler continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 75-79 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

06/16/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Tyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, feet are active as he moves well laterally, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together as he presents glove well out front. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a solid feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 79 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound.

04/08/2018 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL Tyler is a long, lean built RHP/SS prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, Tyler has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a loose, quick arm action and extends through his release. He pitches downhill and stays square to home plate with a controlled landing. He pitches with good rhythm and features two breaking balls. Offensively, Tyler has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Tyler has a direct swing path with an effective backside. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. In the field, Tyler works hard and tries to create effective angles. He fields the ball in a high position with high hands. Tyler has a long exchange leading into a restricted arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate with good strength across the diamond. Overall, Tyler is a talented prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
