Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18)
Tyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, feet are active as he moves well laterally, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together as he presents glove well out front. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a solid feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 79 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound.

Tyler is a tall and lean 2020 2-way prospect. At SS, Tyler creates angles and fields the ball in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Tyler starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays balanced through contact. He has a flat bat to the ball and hits the ball to all fields. On the bump, Tyler gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He works down hill and has good tempo in his delivery. His slider has good depth and his curveball has a medium break. Tyler will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tyler continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 75-79 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

Tyler is a long, lean built RHP/SS prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, Tyler has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a loose, quick arm action and extends through his release. He pitches downhill and stays square to home plate with a controlled landing. He pitches with good rhythm and features two breaking balls. Offensively, Tyler has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Tyler has a direct swing path with an effective backside. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. In the field, Tyler works hard and tries to create effective angles. He fields the ball in a high position with high hands. Tyler has a long exchange leading into a restricted arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate with good strength across the diamond. Overall, Tyler is a talented prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball.
