12/01/2023 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Tyler continues to impress with his baseball abilities and did so at the Academic All-American Tournament. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm to work clean/quick to the plate. He utilizes his body well and shows a good mound presence. Fastball showed a range of 74-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Tyler enters his junior baseball season.

02/12/2023 - National Showcase - St. Petersburg (Tampa), FL Tyler continues to improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable, allowing his arm action to work free and clean to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 78 mph. Fastball showed a range of 74-78 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving stock on the mound.

11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - St. Petersburg (Tampa), FL Tyler worked out on the mound and at 1B during his last workout with The Factory. On the mound, Tyler has a balanced delivery, eyes on target, and a loose arm circle. He separates his hands on time, gets good extension on his pitches, and has a controlled landing toward home plate. Tyler competes in the zone and his off-speed show promise. In the INF, Tyler has good agility for his size, footwork is active, and he fields low in a square position. He presents well, makes plays, and throws with carry to his target. Offensively, Tyler has a square stance, good balance, and he loads his hands back well. He has a short/direct barrel, a level swing plane, and he hits with strength to the pull side.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Tyler is a 2025 prospect out of Ruskin, FL who continued to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas Camp & Tournament. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws show accuracy. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 7. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 75 mph. Fastball shows a range of 74-75 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He's a team player who was able to make adjustments throughout his time at Pirate City.

01/15/2021 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (MS) Tyler is an athletic RHP/OF who will graduate in 2025. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 67-68 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with loose spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. With 4 years to further develop, Tyler has potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
