07/19/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Tyler is a lean built LHP/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2020. 08/03/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Tyler is a young, energetic player who impressed scouts at Pirate City tangibly and intangibly. On the mound he featured 3 pitches from a high 3/4 arm angle including a mid to high 70's fastball, a 7-9 curveball and a changeup. All 3 pitches move very well and have the look of out pitches moving forward. In the outfield, he takes proper angles to fly balls/ground balls, working behind and through the ball consistently. Offensively, he has a smooth swing path, keeping his hands inside the ball and shows a good knowledge of the strike zone. Trying to get his hands into a load position pre pitch will improve pop to all fields. Tyler continues to improve and remains an exciting young prospect.

03/25/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Dubai, UAE Tyler is an athletic (LHP/OF) who has a ton of talent. On the mound, this LHP has a 4-pitch arsenal (FB, CB, SL, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot and clean/quick arm action. He works in-line toward his target and repeats his delivery well. FB tops out at 73 mph while showing sight cutting action. Curveball shows to be best off-speed pitch as it has late break and tight sink and will be a good swing and miss pitch. Continuing to develop his CH (throwing it with the same arm speed as his FB) will help to make him that much more effective. With the bat, this LH swinger stands in well with an athletic/balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. He whips the barrel through a level path taking an aggressive hack. He squares the ball up consistently and hits line-drives. In the OF, Tyler takes a quick first step with solid routes/angles to track down fly-balls hit to his right and left. He maintains smooth actions, works in-line and through the ball toward his target. Tyler projects well and has a very bright future ahead of him in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
