11/13/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - North Branford, CT Tyler continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. At the plate is where he continues to show best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and makes consistent hard contact with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by working to get rid of the baseball quicker and build more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/12/2021 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Tyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.20 runner. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for his 2022 Wolcott, CT prospect.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine as he stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (86 mph exit velocity) as he stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind the ball but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. We look forward to seeing what the future holds.

03/20/2021 - Spring Pro Training Experience - NJ (HS) Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup with solid hitting/power potential. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. In the OF, he displays smooth/athletic actions. He reads balls well off the bat and takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. Feet are aggressive as he works behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program.

02/20/2021 - Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Weekend - Columbia, MD Tyler is an OF prospect who worked hard during the Mid-Atlantic Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side, producing consistent contact. Taking a shorter stride can help Tyler improve his sequencing. Overall, Tyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Tyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/21/2020 - New England Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. Offensively, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best tot the pull side. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time.

11/07/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Tyler is an OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Tyler shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields ground balls out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he works to make accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Tyler build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He stays direct through the ball with fast bat speed, producing line drives to all fields. Tyler can work through a smoother swing by loosening his grip on the bat. Overall, Tyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

08/20/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - NY (HS) Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

07/06/2020 - All-In Membership - New Britain (Hartford), CT Tyler is a young, R/R (2022 grad) OF who has power at the plate. With the bat, this righty shows a relaxed/balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick as he whips the barrel with plus bat speed. He squares the ball up and hits hard line-drives (exit velocity = 86 mph). In the OF, he hustles to his right and left to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with 2 hands and has a clean transfer to throw. Getting on a long toss program will aid in developing his arm strength which will help improve overall skills in the OF. Tyler has tools with still time to develop to get to where he wants to be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
