11/24/2019 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Tyler is a SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Tyler shows efficient footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistent with carry through his target. Staying low on backhand plays can help Tyler improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and produces consistent contact. Tyler can improve as a hitter by taking a more compact swing. Overall, Tyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/26/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Shreveport, LA Tyler is a (2023 grad) 2-way player as a SS/OF. Defensively at SS, he has active footwork and gets into a square fielding position on GB's. He gets rid of the ball with a clean exchange and tries to play through towards his target. In the OF, he takes solid angles to the GB. He hustles hard laterally as he tries to work behind on fly balls and makes aggressive throws to his target. With the stick, Tyler shows a square setup with fluid rhythm. He utilizes his lower 1/2, takes aggressive hacks through the zone and creates solid contact with each pitch. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Prep step
2. Work low
3. Develop soft hands
Outfield

2. Get behind on fly balls
3. Clean exchange to throw

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
