11/04/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City Tyler is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at Pirate City. In the field, Tyler shows active footwork and fields in an athletic position. He works through the ball well and makes accurate throws to his target. Taking better angles can help Tyler make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a soft stride. He gets into a small load and engages his lower half well. He gets good extension through the ball and sprays line drives to all fields. Tyler can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to add strength. On the mound, Tyler gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Tyler operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 55mph. Breaking ball sits from 46-50mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 49-51mph. Long tossing can help Tyler build up his arm strength. With seven more years to develop, Tyler has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
