11/13/2016 - College PREP - Riverside, CA Tyler is a young, athletic two-way prospect who shows more polish presently as a position player. His best tool is his live, quick arm with a clean stroke that he shows off both at short and on the hill. He works downhill from the mound, creating a difficult angle for hitters to make solid contact. He shows clean mechanics with his head on target, and on time separation and extension towards the hitter to make his ball explode to the plate. Staying in line to the plate will result in better control moving forward. At short, he shows that good arm strength to make long throws to first. He makes plays cleanly and has an efficient glove to hand exchange to throw with accuracy. At the dish, this RHH has a square setup and effective weight transfer to get his bat through the zone and to contact. He stays balanced throughout his swing and makes consistent contact, putting the ball in play and giving himself a chance to reach base. Tyler is a prospect we look forward to continue watching progress.
