03/19/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Tyler is a 3B who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At 3B, he works to center the baseball with ability to play through the baseball. Fields out front from a square fielding position and keeps his eyes behind glove. Made on-line throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 82mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Simple and repeatable swing, with quiet actions, and tracks ball to bat. Gets on-plane early as he squared up baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. With another year of development, we foresee Tyler having a bright future on the baseball field.

10/15/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Georgetown, KY Tyler is a (2023 grad) as an OF. Defensively in the OF, he hustles with active footwork and works behind on fly balls. He plays low and has a quick/clean exchange to throw. With the stick, this RHH shows a square setup with fluid rhythm to load. He stays balanced as he rips his lower 1/2 through and consistently drives pitches on a line. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
