08/06/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Honeycutt showed as a SS/RHP at the event. His feet are active as he works to square balls up and gets into a solid, low fielding position. His hands are clean but Tyler needs to improve his foot speed and play through balls more to continue to improve defensive grades. At the plate, Tyler shows an athletic setup with balance. His hands work through a level swing path and he makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting / power grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep his hands inside the ball and use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 78-82 mph with a quality breaking ball that displays 11/5 shape with late break. His breaking ball shows as a quality pitch that will get outs at the next level.
