06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Tyler is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. On the mound, Tyler shows confidence and keeps his pitches around the zone. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 63-66mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 69-70mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Being controlled getting to a balance point can help Tyler improve as a pitcher. In the field, Tyler takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He works behind the ball and fields with a firm glove. He gets rid of the ball quickly and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. Tyler can improve defensively by shortening his arm action. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a soft stride. He gets into a simple load and sprays the ball to all fields. Driving his lower half more an help Tyler improve as a hitter. Overall, Tyler is solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
