His proportioned 6'2"/210 pound frame has lots of present strength while maintaining flexibility and showing excellent athleticism. His calling card continues to be his bat, where his right-handed stroke is short and quick and results in loud contact. His pull power is legitimate and should continue to flourish with maturity. As a defender, Tyler showed dependable hands, sound feet and the ability to read/react well to balls off the bat. His arm slot gets low at times resulting in some tail to his throws across the diamond, though he does possess raw arm strength. Overall, he is a high-level 2019 prospect with a very big upside.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
