01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Tyler continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting/power potential are now outstanding as he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range (6.90 60 time) as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Tyler continues to show a promising future on the diamond with improvements to his baseball abilities. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve his foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
