03/17/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Ashburn (DC), VA Tyler is a young, left handed, 2-way player who plays 1B and LHP. Defensively, Tyler has a presentable glove, active feet, and he fields in a low position. He has soft hands, good footwork around the bag, and a clean exchange with an accurate arm to his target. On the mound, this LHP has a loose arm circle, on-time separation, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He keeps his eyes on target, uses his lower body, and has a controlled landing toward home plate. Offensively, Tyler has a square set-up, good balance, and a compact stroke. He swings on plane, makes square contact, and he can spray to all fields. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

1. Range
2. Long toss
3. Follow throws
Pitching

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
