12/27/2011 - Vero Beach Christmas Camp and Tournament Tyler is a 2017 graduate who plays 3B. In the infield he needs work on his footwork, more specifically doing the agility drills from Vero. Also Tyler needs to work hard on adjusting his basic fielding position so that he is in an athletic position on approach. As he matures he will naturally become more athletic but it is important to get the fundamentals down as early as possible so that he is doing things the proper way. At the plate he has a lot of potential. He has a short/square stride, stable balance, and he makes hard contact. He needs to widen his stance, use his lower half more and his timing is early so he needs to stay back and allow the ball to travel into the proper hitting zone. Tyler is a very good kid who seems to enjoy playing the game. He is a young kid so if he makes the adjustments and works hard there is no reason he cannot be a successful player in the future.
