06/20/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Tyler is a lean, athletic 2B that will graduate in 2016. Foot speed is slightly above average as indicated by his 7.44 60 time. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work through a level swing path. He loads well and works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more aggressively. At the event, he was 7 for 13. At 2B, he plays hard and works to square ball up and shows clean hands. Feet are active with defensive grade improving as he attacks balls more and plays through with his body and continues to increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best plays he can be.
