08/24/2014 - College PREP - Farmingville (Long Island), NY Tyler showed as a RHP/3B at the event and has improved his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.25. Defensive grade in the IF have improved as he displays clean/athletic actions. Feet are active/aggressive as he works around and through ground balls. Hands are soft/clean but needs to present out front to continue to improve. Throws are accurate as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but needs to build more arm strength. At the plate, hitting/power grades have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength, throw more strikes, and improves off speed pitches.
