08/24/2014 - College PREP - Farmingville (Long Island), NY
Tyler showed as a RHP/3B at the event and has improved his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.25. Defensive grade in the IF have improved as he displays clean/athletic actions. Feet are active/aggressive as he works around and through ground balls. Hands are soft/clean but needs to present out front to continue to improve. Throws are accurate as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but needs to build more arm strength. At the plate, hitting/power grades have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength, throw more strikes, and improves off speed pitches.
02/24/2013 - National Tryout - Long Island, NY
Tyler improved in ever area of his game since we last saw him. FB now tops out at 66 mph. He is around the plate with all of his pitches, as he gets good glove side lead and works in-line toward the plate. More lower 1/2 drive off of the mound will help to increase velocities. As a hitter, Tyler displays a closed setup and strides open. He works to contact and is a pull-type hitter. Smoother rhythm and more lower 1/2 will help to improve offensive abilities. As only a 2015 graduate, Revan still has time to continue to improve.
07/08/2012 - Select Training at the All-Star Game

Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Command / control are a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches, locating to both sides of the plate. At 3B, feet are active and displays clean hands. For defensive grades to continue to improve, he needs to attack ground balls more, improve foot speed, and present hands more out front. At the plate, Tyler shows a balanced approach and tracks the ball well. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting / power grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball and use his lower half more. With 3 years to further develop, Tyler has abilities with time and room to improve.
